Reason for sale is the new baby in the family, so dunroamin’ for a while
This van would be a good option for renting out, or as a Tiny Home.
I have very much enjoyed the van for over 8 years, particularly since having it totally upgraded into it’s beautiful current style – by the very talented Jason Wincott of Penzance. (jases-spaces Instagram)
He used spruce tongue and groove for the interior lining, pine for the cabinets and some structural pieces in plywood.
The van interior was stripped out from it’s previous camper fitting, and started again from the bare metal up. Electrics and insulation going in first, and the design put forward by me, adapted and developed very creatively and practically by Jason. In exceptional fine detail, cutting no corners and applying craftsmanship and expertise to all aspects of the fitting.
It’s been designed for solo or couple use, with or without a pet.
The space becomes huge with a large pump up extension tent added (Kampa Air Driveaway Awning), and the side door open -I have done this when parked up for longer stays in places – I added an air beds into the extension for friends to stay, and extra tables and chairs for entertaining- this could be a useful adaptation for family trips. I would be willing to sell it for £225.
The van has been comfortable on super hot and super cold days; dry ,warm, well lit (or ambient) and cosy at night in rainy storms and gales. The diesel heater and insulation come into their own when the evening cools. I have also run an oiled filled radiator when plugged into 240v.
The space feels more like a Scandinavian cabin than a van, especially at night with curtains drawn.
The sunroof and sliding back door window add extra light and cooling ventilation when the weather is hot, as well as views from the bed
The tailored curtains add warmth, and extra privacy when ‘indoors’.
The large blue & white striped canopy provides lovely shade when rolled out, with the extra relaxing style of a French cafe, and plenty of room to enjoy sitting out underneath it.
The ‘garage’ rear storage has plenty of space for a folding table, chairs, beach and country kit, etc.
The bike rack is great for 2 bikes, or a vertical kayak carrier.
I have been able to continue my online job whilst travelling in the van, the solar electricity supply is ample for running my computer and the table perfect when doubling as a desk.
As a goodwill gesture to the lucky new owner I am giving a full tank of diesel, nearly full diesel heater tank, full water containers, gas in the bottle, and a brand new service.
Enjoy!
