1. About these terms

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of campervans.co.uk, a website operated by Moonbolt Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales (company no. 14938583) ("we", "us", "our").

By accessing the site, creating an account, placing an advert or contacting another user through campervans.co.uk, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms together with our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

We may update these Terms from time to time — for example, when the law changes or we launch new features. Material changes will be flagged on the site and by email at least 14 days before they take effect.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 years old and resident in the United Kingdom to register an account. When you sign up you agree to:

• provide accurate and current information about yourself;
• keep your password confidential and not share your account with anyone else;
• tell us straight away if you suspect unauthorised access to your account; and
• be responsible for all activity that takes place under your login.

Dealer and trade accounts are subject to additional verification, including company-number checks and proof of trading address. We may refuse, suspend or cancel any account at our discretion where we have reasonable grounds to suspect misuse.

3. Listings & content

You retain ownership of the photographs, descriptions and other content you upload (your "Content"). By posting Content on campervans.co.uk you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, display, reproduce and promote that Content for the purpose of operating and marketing the site.

Every listing you post must:

• be for a real, legally owned vehicle, part or accessory based in the UK;
• describe the item honestly, including known faults, damage or outstanding finance;
• show only your own photographs, or images you have express permission to use;
• state an asking price in pounds sterling — POA listings are limited to dealer accounts; and
• comply with the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 and, where you sell as a trader, the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

We do not pre-moderate listings, but we reserve the right to amend, hide or remove any advert that breaches these Terms or that we consider misleading, unlawful or otherwise inappropriate.

4. Fees & payments

Standard private adverts are free. Premium placements, featured ads and dealer subscriptions are charged at the rates published on our pricing page at the time of purchase.

• All fees are quoted in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable.
• Payments are processed by our third-party providers; we do not store full card details on our servers.
• Premium upgrades are non-refundable once your listing has gone live, except where required by UK consumer law.
• Dealer subscriptions renew automatically. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard; the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

5. Prohibited use

To keep the site safe and useful, you must not:

• post duplicate, fraudulent or grossly misleading adverts;
• list a vehicle that is stolen, written off without disclosure, subject to undisclosed finance, or has been clocked;
• use campervans.co.uk to advertise goods or services unrelated to camper-related vehicles, parts or accessories;
• scrape, harvest or otherwise systematically extract data from the site without our prior written permission;
• attempt to interfere with the site's security, performance or availability;
• impersonate another person or business, or misrepresent your relationship with one; or
• use the contact tools to send spam, harassment, hate speech or unsolicited marketing.

6. Buying & selling

campervans.co.uk is a classifieds platform. We are not a party to any sale that takes place between users — we don't take payment, hold the vehicle in escrow, or guarantee its condition, mileage, history or paperwork.

We strongly recommend that buyers:

• view the vehicle in person before paying anything;
• run an HPI / MOT history check using the registration number;
• verify the seller's identity and the V5C log book;
• walk away from anyone who pressures you to pay by gift card, cryptocurrency, or bank transfer to a "shipping company"; and
• report suspected fraud to contact@campervans.co.uk and to Action Fraud.

Sellers must be the registered keeper or have explicit authority to sell on the keeper's behalf, and must transfer the V5C correctly to the DVLA after sale.

7. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under UK law.

Subject to the above, we will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from:

• the accuracy, legality or quality of any listing posted by another user;
• any sale, dispute or transaction between users;
• any temporary unavailability of the site for maintenance or technical reasons; or
• indirect, consequential or purely economic loss, including lost profits or lost data.

Where we are liable, our total liability to you in any 12-month period will not exceed the greater of (i) £100, or (ii) the fees you have paid us in that period.

8. Intellectual property

The campervans.co.uk name, logo, site design, code and editorial content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trade mark and database rights. You may view, download and print pages for your own non-commercial use only.

If you believe content on the site infringes your rights, please email contact@campervans.co.uk with the URL, a description of the work, and your contact details.

9. Suspension & termination

You can close your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or close any account, or remove any listing, where we reasonably believe that the user has breached these Terms, our community guidelines, or applicable law.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including liability, intellectual property and governing law — will continue to apply after your account is closed.

10. Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with them will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England & Wales, except that consumers resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland may bring proceedings in their local courts.
