How it works

Live this afternoon, if you have the photos

  1. Enter the reg

Make, model, year, engine, fuel, gearbox and MOT come back from the DVLA and DVSA automatically. You correct anything that looks off.

  2. Describe the conversion

Berths, layout, kitchen, heating, leisure batteries, solar, awning. Add your photos, set your price and say where the van is.

  3. Answer the enquiries

Messages land in your dashboard inbox with email alerts. Your phone number stays hidden until a buyer taps to reveal it.

Takes about ten minutes. Your draft is saved as you go.

Before you list

An afternoon of prep is worth a few hundred pounds

The vans that sell quickly are rarely the cheapest. They are the ones where the buyer can see everything and never has to guess.

  • Empty it, then clean it

Take out the bedding, the boots and the half-used gas canister. A bare interior looks bigger and lets a buyer picture their own things in it.

  • Shoot in flat, even light

Overcast days and early evening beat bright sun, which blows out the windows and hides the interior. Park somewhere plain — a hedge or a wall, not a cluttered driveway.

  • Cover all four corners and every bed mode

Front three-quarter, rear three-quarter, side door open, kitchen, bed made up, bed folded away, pop-top raised. Buyers scroll straight past adverts with four blurry exteriors.

  • Photograph the faults too

The dent on the sill, the scuffed worktop. Naming them upfront filters out the people who would have walked away on the driveway anyway, and it earns trust with the ones who stay.

  • Get the paperwork into one folder

V5C in your name, MOT history, service invoices, conversion receipts and any habitation or gas safety certificate. Say in the advert what you hold — it is one of the first things a serious buyer asks.

  • Check the weight and the DVLA body type

A weighbridge ticket showing the real payload reassures anyone towing or travelling four-up. If the V5C still says panel van rather than motor caravan, mention it rather than leave it to be discovered.

  • Price against live adverts, not old ones

Search Campervans for the same base vehicle, age and berth count to see what comparable vans are asking today. Sitting slightly under the pack is usually cheaper than three months of silence.

  • Write it for a stranger

Who converted it and when, what you have replaced, how you have used it and why you are selling. Two honest paragraphs do more work than a list of adjectives.

How it went for them

Private owners and self-builders, in their own words.

Listed on the Friday, sold by Sunday to a couple from Leeds. Two other people were still asking about it a week later.

I had it on a general classifieds site for a month and got nothing but lowball offers. Here the questions were from people who actually knew what they were looking at.

The things sellers ask first

Send us a message
What can I advertise?

Anything set up to sleep in: factory motorhomes and coachbuilts, panel van conversions, day vans, camper cars and self-builds, whether professionally converted or done on your own driveway. Part-finished projects are welcome too, as long as you are straight about what is left to do.

Do you take a commission?

No. You pay for the advert and nothing else. The sale happens directly between you and the buyer, and the money never passes through us.

How long does an advert run?

It depends on the package you choose. The duration is shown on each one above. If the van sells sooner you can mark it as sold from your dashboard straight away.

Can I change the advert once it is live?

Yes, as often as you like, free. Drop the price, swap the photos, add the detail you forgot. Edits go live immediately from your dashboard.

Will my phone number be public?

Only if you add one, and even then it stays behind a tap-to-reveal button. Most enquiries arrive through the on-site message centre, which lands in your dashboard inbox with an email alert.

Do I need to be a trader?

Not at all. Most of our sellers are private owners selling one van. Dealers and converters are welcome as well, and have their own accounts with bulk listing tools.

How many photos can I upload?

Every package includes unlimited photos. Use them: adverts with a full interior gallery get noticeably more enquiries than ones with a handful of exteriors.

How do I avoid being scammed?

Meet in person, never hand over the van or the V5C until funds have properly cleared in your account, and be wary of anyone offering to overpay, pay by cheque, or arrange collection through a third party without viewing. Treat pressure to move the conversation off-site immediately as a warning sign.

What if it does not sell?

Revisit the price and the photos first. Between them they account for nearly every stale advert. You can also extend the advert from your dashboard, choosing a package that features it.
