Up for sale is our absolute pride and joy: a fantastic, left-hand drive 1988 VW T25 with an original, factory-fitted Westfalia conversion.
While she is nearly 40 years old, she certainly doesn’t carry her age. Thanks to an engine upgrade, an extensive mechanical maintenance, and a bodywork refresh, this van is in generally excellent condition and completely ready to hit the road.
Key Mechanical & Performance Upgrades
Engine & Transmission: Upgraded to a more powerful and reliable 1.9-litre AFN engine, paired with an upgraded 5-speed shifter. The original 1.6 turbo diesel engine with its dog leg shifter are truly horrible to drive. This is a must-have if you are looking at T25’s!

Engine Refresh: Extensively refreshed by the specialists at Busmeister in 2021.

Cooling System: Fully upgraded, including a new radiator.

Handling: Upgraded suspension and a refreshed steering rack make her fun to drive.

Reliability: Mechanically in excellent working order, passing her last MOT effortlessly.

Off-Grid & Camping Capabilities
Power Setup: Roof rack fitted with a 180W solar panel connected to a Renogy all-in-one charge controller, inverter, and lithium battery system.

Sleeping Comfort: Incredible camping capabilities featuring a super-comfortable downstairs bed and a spacious upstairs pop-top bed (the tent fabric is in great condition). I did remove the fitted diesel heater however because it dries out my throat, but it will be included in the sail. It would just need to be refitted.

Original Westfalia Interior: All original interior components are present, including the working three-way fridge, curtains, etc.

Water & Gas: Comes equipped with an onboard 55-litre water tank and a highly convenient underslung gas tank.

Condition & Character
Exterior: Benefited from a comprehensive bodywork revamp in 2023 and is in generally excellent aesthetic shape. I’ve also fitted the van with General Grabber AT3 all-terrain tyres. This makes her incredibly good in off-road conditions and boggy fields.

Interior: She has been used extensively and loved deeply. Because of this, there are a few tatty bits inside. However, she has been exceptionally well looked after, and everything functions beautifully.
