Volkswagen T25 Caravelle – 1.9L – 2 Berth

VW T25 Caravelle camper van called Birt. Birt was born in Germany in 1984. He is left hand drive (don’t let that put you off – if I can drive him, anyone can). I have owned Birt since 2013. I am reluctantly selling him due to a change in my personal circumstances. Birt was resprayed from green to red in 2014. At the same time he had a new headlining installed with LED spotlights as well as a down lighter under the bed. Birt has been fully insulated so he is nice and warm in the cooler weather. Birt has a leisure battery with a 3pin plug and USB socket, perfect for running a cool box or changing batteries. He has a full rock and roll bed and wood effect laminate flooring. He also has a JVC stereo and Infinity speakers. Birt has SAAB seats up front so is super comfortable to drive over longer distances. He doesn’t have any seatbelts in the back but these could be put back in. He also has white wall rim tyres and chrome dome centres.

Birt has just had his MOT so this will run until June 2022. He needed some work doing but this has all been completed. He has some advisories but this is to be expected with a van of his age. I am happy to go through these with you. Birt has always been in storage through winter and he remains SORN as has not yet been used this summer. Engine wise, Birt has never not started or broken down. He has been very reliable over the past 8 years. His paint work is deteriorating in some places as can be seen in some of the photos so he will need to body work doing at some point. The passenger door lock and sliding door lock will need/needs replacing but this isn’t a big job.

He’s been amazing to take on camping trips; we also took him a 2 week surf trip to Portugal a few years ago. He is full of character and gets lots of attention wherever he goes. I will include the window covers which suction on to keep the light/sun out. I am also including the drive away awning (RRP 200GBP) as I no longer need this now. Birt is a beautiful van; as with any old van he needs ongoing love and attention but he will be a great additional member to your family 🙂 Birt has a roof rack which is perfect for surfboards. It could do with being taken off and resprayed (we powder coated it). I do also have a bike rack which is specific to a T25, so this can be negotiated as extra if you are interested.
