This is an classified advert for ‘Dotty’, who is our 1972 Crossover T2 Bay Window Campervan. She has been with us for nearly 7 years and has been amazing throughout all of that time! We have just returned from a week down in Cornwall, where she drove in all conditions, for over 600 miles, without missing a beat.Dotty started life in Kansas, so is very solid – even more so, since she has always been stored in our garage when we haven’t been out in her.She has the very solid 1700 Type 4 engine, which we have had upgraded to the Weber ICT system – which has made the drive so much smoother and quieter. She also has a Vintage Volkshaus exhaust – which was the first one made, as she was used as a template to enable the company to make them moving forward!Dotty also has a thin and flexible solar panel on the roof, which sends electricity to the leisure battery, which powers some lighting, USB ports and the Waeco fridge. The week away that we have just had, showed how good the system is, as we were able to continually charge our phones and our drinks were kept really cold for the whole week. She also has a fire suppression system fitted – by VW Air-cooled Works.Dotty has just had her MOT (Apr 2021) and passed after a quick service for the emissions. When she had her service, the mechanic commented on how solid she is and what good condition she is in.In addition to all of the above, we have even more! Included in the sale is a front hammock – that goes over the front two seats The original front seats – that can be put back, as the runners are still there – however, the new seats that are in are really comfortable!20 metre power cable for plugging in at the campsitePull out hammock in the main cabinKyham Drive Away Awning – bedroom area and living room – really good fit and joins to the campervan side railsFront windscreen cover – with eyes on Underside wind protector for when you are parked up and campingI am sure there are a few more things that we can throw in, as we want someone else to enjoy Dotty as much as we have. We have just got to the point that our priorities have changed. We are all going to be gutted to see her go, especially my daughter, as she has had her since age one!I have many more photos – please just message if you would like more sent on. The campervan is based in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire.
