I am selling my 2017 Ford Transit 350 L4 H3 panel van that has been converted into a DVLA approved “Motor Caravan”. It has the largest height and longest wheelbase available for this model of van. I have a height of 6’2, even after conversion, I am able to fully stand and move around inside the campervan. The number of belted seats including driver is 3, and it is designed to sleep 3 to 4 people.
I put together this large series of 14 live video guides, where I walk you through step by step every aspect of using this campervan and at the same time, I explain in full why everything was designed and built the way it was, they are a must-watch and will help you understand the value of this conversion.

The reason for my sale is due to us starting a family, and now with our 2nd baby on the way it is unlikely our campervan will get used, at least for the next 3 to 4 years. So, parting with it now makes sense and then possibly converting another once the kids grow up is now our plan.
No expense was spared during our build process, which was completed in 2020. The campervan conversion is a self-build, but we used trained professionals as needed to assist in its completion. Whisper power engineer for electrics and gas engineer for LPG system installation, testing and certification.
I designed this campervan to be completely off-grid, using large solar panels and a large lithium-ion battery bank. We built it to the highest specification possible to include many mod cons, such as a daily use composting toilet (same used in luxury yachts), separate shower room with hot running water and LPG gas for both cooking and for our vehicle heating system.
With that being said, putting a “sale value” on this vehicle is a difficult one, it is a one-of-a-kind campervan that I have no doubt will meet and surpass many people’s conversion wish lists. After researching the current market, I estimate it is worth somewhere between 50 and 60K.
I found many conversions of a similar vehicle age and mileage that are priced between 60 and 100K, that actually have fewer features than my conversion and are lacking in terms of build quality. I expect to receive quite a lot of interest and offers on my vehicle, it is located close to Carlisle, UK. Viewings can be arranged for serious buyers only.
Between 2018 and 2020, I laid out 23K for the vehicle purchase alone and then a total of 20.5K was spent on parts that were added during the campervan conversion (a detailed parts list showing all costings can be provided). The 43.5K mentioned above does not factor in the time and labour that went into this build. If I was to try and build this again at today’s prices for this vehicle and parts alone, I estimate it would be at least 20% more due to current market and price inflation.
