This is the 4th camper conversion from Wild Heart Campers. The base vehicle is a 2017 Red Citroen Relay LWB.. It has extra security locks and was a delivery van doing mostly motorway miles, well looked after and was Serviced and MOTd just before I purchased it in June. The cam belt was changed in July last year at 125,000 miles which I have a receipt for. The vehicle is ULEZ compliant as it’s EURO 6. Next MOT and service are due in June 2022.
These past three months Taylored Designs have been converting it to full working off-grid camper van commissioned by Wild Heart Campers LTD. It has a 180AH battery powered by 270W solar panel on the roof. It also has mains hook up for campsites and a Victron inverter. The 20L LPG tank is underslung and you refill at LPG pumps- there is a Thetford 2 ring hob and built in Thetford Oven. The over the wheel arch water tank holds 55L and the waste tank is underslung. There is a diesel heater for cold winter nights.
The full double bed is fixed and the seating is a small single size which has a middle drawer section that pulls out to create a small single bed and the cushions form a mattress. The double bed has a Scottish linen foam headboard fitted within the recess. The seat cushions are neutral coloured linen. The curtains are blackout natural linen with leather tab detail from La Redoute and the kitchen window and bulkhead black out blinds are luxury woven linen. There is a pallet wood pull out table large enough for 3 to dine. There is also a pull out drawer with Porta Potti.
There are 6 ceiling spotlights, two brass reading lights and LED mood lighting at the foot of the bed under the built in overhead cupboards with have leather and brass handles. There are USB 12V phone charging points The plug sockets and light switches are Victorian style brass.
The kitchen painted in F&B green smoke is a shaker style with leather handles. It has a butler sink and rustic 300 year old solid oak worktop, a brass tap and an overhead cupboard plus log store or cookery book hatch. The fridge is a 38L compressor fridge in a drawer that pulls out and the custom built mini wood burner sits on a copper plate with sage green Moroccan star tiles behind it.
The Ceiling is a pallet wood chevron pattern as a feature and pallet wood is also used to clad the bulkhead, bed, seating and overhead cupboards. The rest of the cladding is tongue and groove painted in F&B off white to keep it lightweight and fresh looking.
There is a ladder to the roof deck which is made of decking boards fixed to the roof rack – perfect for sundowners. There are rear barn windows and one sliding window in the kitchen area. My mechanic did a full check of the vehicle but you are welcome to send our own mechanic to check it or an RAC inspector.
I can provide a reference from the lady that purchased the last conversion I did.
