FACTORY BUILT ISUZU ELF Motorhome/Campervan.

(Gross weight to 3.5t, can be driven with a normal UK PLG car license).
This is not your average home build or van conversion, is is factory built on an Isuzu ELF platform.
Isuzu medium truck, (commercial etc) Elf/Grafter/NPR family, which is a 7.5T rated, and configured here as GWT under 3.5t. So at well under half the engineered weight, it’s never under heavy load.
This is a commercial grade truck platform.

Will come with a new MOT and wash/valet, once sale agreed and 10% deposit taken.

The epitome of Japanese space saving efficiency. This camper is no longer than our Toyota hiace but has a bathroom, kitchen and living/sleeping area. Four of the seats have seat belts. There are three seats up front so seven people can travel with seat belts. The sleeping is a double above the cab, a bench seat, 3/4 bed and the table seating turns into a double. There are large openable shaded glass windows either side as well as a large roof widow.
It has two showers, one in the bathroom and one on the outside to wash down muddy boots or sand from the beach. Both showers are powered by a gas furnace for hot water.
The bathroom has a opening window. It also has a roof vent that can be open or closed There is a Thetford cassette toilet, with exterior access hatch for the cassette. Bathroom has hot & cold water, and a space saving folding sink with a mirror storage cabinet.
The kitchen is simple with a two ring gas burner and a new microwave, a new dometic fridge which can run on gas or electric, and summer/winter vents included. The kitchen and living areas have plenty of clever storage. There is a gas safety detector, with cut off solenoid, and alarm, along with CO/smoke alarm, fire extinguisher, & blanket. There is also a cooker hood that has the controls for water, gas, equipment for the water and battery levels and a sliding glass window with curtain. There are multiple 12v lights inside and out plus mains sockets and USB sockets, which run both on mains hookup, and from the four (new in 2023) 70Ah battery beneath the vehicle via an 800w Victron inverter, coupled to the large solar panel on the roof. With Victron BMS, and Solar charge controller, both with Bluetooth for connection to the Victron phone application . TV with integrated DVD player and remote is also included. This camper can go off grid very easily if you monitor your power usage properly.
There is a new diesel powered warm air space heater. Fresh water tank, and a grey water roll away tank.
The outside of the van is as clever as the inside. The body is constructed from a single molding of fiberglass. The same way in which a boat or yacht is constructed. So the body has zero chance of water penetration whilst making it very structurally stable to cope with the rigors a camper body can be subjected to. The vast majority of campers on the road today are built with panels that are glued and mechanically fixed together. As the body flexes the seams start to give and that is the end of that. Water ingress is the most common cause of death for campers and caravans alike. The only reason all campers are not built in a single piece is it costs a lot of money to make them this way.
There are external doors to storage lockers on both sides, and a large lock box on the rear. There is a large awning and manually retractable door step. All lockers have colour coded keys.
The Vehicle the body is built onto is an Isuzu Elf it has a 4.3 litre non turbo 4 cylinder diesel engine that is all but bulletproof. It is an automatic with overdrive. The Isuzu medium truck is based on the 7.5T chassis, (ELF, so is really under stressed in this configuration, with total weight of about 3.5T empty, so economy is very good, 20-23mpg. It has an exhaust brake, aircon, power steering, electric folding mirrors. The last owner said to me ‘you’ll get half an hour up the motorway and it will instill you with confidence’ and now I’m saying it to you….
This vehicle is very rare in this country but if you look for it online you’ll see some great videos.
The seats and squabs have been professionally recovered, (removable covers with zips etc). There is also an over-carpet that can be removed for cleaning etc.
The original Japanese owners manual is included, and an Isuzu service manual. It was built in a factory in Japan to the usual Japanese attention to detail & durability. I can’t talk highly enough about this camper and am willing to answer any questions you might have, along with more photos or videos if needed. The other photos on the listing, come from the original sales brochure, so don’t reflect all the upgrades mentioned above. Currently sorned, but we have a large field where it can be test driven. Included with 2 gas bottles and a would be perfect for a couple with 2~3 kids, or for extended off-grid travelling/living. Being able to access the drivers seat from inside the living area, is also nice for solo travelers, if you needed to leave in a hurry, or in bad weather etc, no need to go outside etc. Happy to answer any questions.
