p { line-height: 115%; margin-bottom: 0.25cm; background: transparent }strong { font-weight: bold }For
sale is our 2012 Ford Transit camper van. I bought and converted it
in 2019 and it is fully equipped and ready to use. Selling due to
having a baby and wanting to get something bigger.

First,
an overview of the van itself. It has been regularly serviced at my
local garage since I owned it, and it has been a great van. It is a
SWB, mid roof, so it is a fairly compact van with the advantage of
better standing height in the back. It has just under 120,000 miles,
but has been a campervan since it was about 83,000 miles so has had a
good time of it. Anything that has needed doing has immediately been
done, and a quick look at the service history will show that to be
the case.

Some
main positives:

Refurb
gearbox, clutch and dual mass flywheel replaced in August at the
Buckley Gearbox Centre with a 12 Month Warranty.

Had
the DPF deleted and mapped last year, drives absolutely brilliantly
and means you don’t have to worry about it clogging. Has passed an
MOT since then so no problems with that.

Never
needed any welding of the main structure, and the underside is in
good condition for a van of this age, especially a Transit. In 2019
I put a galvanised wheel arch on the driver-side, I think the other
side had been done before I owned it, and I recently touched up the
paint on both. It is always worth keeping on top of these things.

Windscreen heater

Negatives:

There
is a dent on the driverside from hitting a tree root. It hasn’t
caused any issues with MOT or rust, just is a bit unfortunate.

The
reverse sensors recently stopped working. From some research this
could be as simple as some dirty wiring but could be from the
control module. It only went wrong a few months ago and I haven’t
had time to fix it.

The
conversion. As mentioned it was done in 2019, it is a two birth with
everything you need for a campervan.

Electronics:

130AH
deep cycle leisure battery charged via a victron split charge and a
120W monocrystalline solar panel.

Mains
hookup powering 240V plug with another space in the breaker if you
wanted to add more.

Lamp
with dual USB and another dual USB plug for charging devices, LED
strip light over the cooker. Cable already run for any further
devices.

Kitchen:

Dometic
Waeco CoolMatic CD 20 compressor
fridge
– drawer type fridge, absolutely brilliant and you can fit a
surprising amount of food or beer in it for it’s size.

Full
sized sink with a Whale foot pump.

25l
fresh water and 10l waste water.

Dometic
double gas hob.

Gas
locker for Calor Gas bottle with isolators and mounted regulator.

General
Features:

Propex
gas heater running off the calor gas bottle.

Toilet
cupboard – more for emergencies really but good to have if you’re
wild camping. If you didn’t want this you could just have extra
storage here.

Laguna
swivel table with a live edge ash top.

Slide
out bed, think
it’s just under a double. Loads of storage underneath.

Full
height cupboard at the back for camping chairs etc.

Insulated
with Thermafleece cosywool, brilliant for heat and sound insulation,
with the added advantage of managing well in high moisture which I
believe is essential in a van.

External fitted front cover for total blackout, curtains behind bed if you don’t want to use main covers, window coverings fitted with poppers – almost total blackout.

Fiamma roof vent
