Description
For sale is our 2022 Citroen Relay L2H2 covering 51,000 miles, myself and my partner bought to convert into a campervan, however for many reasons we have decided to not continue the build anymore and that it would be best to put it up for sale. We have done a few trips in it and two of them were to Europe covering many miles, one in winter as a couple and then once in summer with my friend on a mountain bike road trip.
Here is a brief overview of what we’ve done to it so far;
Many stages of insulation (all photographed as it’s not something that’s visible)
Steel double bed frame, thin (space saving) but strong. Bolted to the van which also adds a bit of structural support to the van. Ikea foam mattress, also thin enough for an average height person to sit up in bed
12v Dometic Fridge (we had a Dometic camping fridge for years, still have it today and lend it out to friends, never let us down so Dometic was the forward for us)
230v Dometic microwave (idea was to be able to reheat food the next day after making too much the day before, usually the case)
12v LED lights in ceiling, USB sockets and 230v Sockets
314ah Lithium Fogstar battery (built in Bluetooth so can monitor runtime, last trip in Europe it calculated 10 days of power) recharged via DC-DC and electric hook up
Maxx air Maxx fan extractor in the ceiling, can be used whilst raining
Double glazed window which can also be opened in slight rain
5x Rogue Alloys, all fitted with Yokohama Geolander G015 tyres (M+S marked for use in Europe during winter and commercially marked so legal to use on vans)
Sony double din stereo fitted which allows the use of Apple Carplay and a reversing camera which makes reversing up to things so much easier (Can be seen in photos but has been removed now but can be included in the sale. Turns out the wiring kit I bought wasn’t fully compatible because when you disconnect the starter battery the date and time would reset and flash because it didn’t see factory stereo) (wiring for reverse camera is still in place)
There’s a few things that will be included with the van;
Maverick Overland front window covers, insulated and black out
Front Runner flat pack bags, all shelving made around these bags for a good fit
Porta Potti behind tambour door, never been used! Comes with the liquids required that are still wrapped up
Levelling ramps and wheel chocks
Hook up lead & hook up adapters
Spare engine oil
Necessary spare bulbs (legal requirement for Europe)
A few random camping accessories
One thing I didn’t get round to was fitting out was a running water system, so i’ll included everything we bought in the sale of the van if you want to go ahead yourself;
Water Tank (50L if I remember right)
Sink & Tap (plus all pipes and fittings)
Shurflo Pump
Shurflo Accumulator
Shurflo inline trap/filter
A bunch of fittings and fasteners
A roll of food grade water pipe
We’ll be sad to see the van go however it’s not quite working out the way we thought and we can’t see it turning out the way we thought either so we are going to give it a go selling the van as it is in it’s current state otherwise we may decide to park it up and redesign it at a later date if we don’ get back enough to justify selling it.
Thank you for viewing, any questions please feel free to ask. More than welcome for a chat.
EXTRA INFO; There is no 12v to 230v inverter, all 230v sockets in the van only work when connected to hook up. There are also no solar panels! We didn’t see the point as we fitted a decent size battery, with the extractor fan on day and night, lighting in the evening and using usb sockets for recharging the battery calculated around 10 days of power whilst I was in Europe this summer. If connected to hook up then we battery will be slowly topped up via a 230v charger. Once home, plug the van in and it’ll recharge ready for your next trip. Less to go wrong and less wiring required.
