‘Big Gaz’ Ford Transit Campervan

Very sad sale of our camper van, affectionately known as ‘Big Gaz’. We’ve had lots of fun with him, including a 9 week road trip around Europe last year and 2.5 weeks around France this year, along with numerous weekends away. He’s never caused us any problems during our travels and is ready to go on new adventures.

Van specs
Big Gaz is a 2008 high top, mid length Ford Transit. It’s been the perfect size for us – we can stand up in it comfortably (and my partner is 6ft3) and it’s just the right size to fit into a regular parking space. It is also fitted with reverse parking sensors.

Living Area
– Insulated and wood panelled
– Large under bed storage/garage area

The leisure battery was replaced September 2025, so is less than a year old. We’ve done a lot of other work to the van including just under £2k worth of welding on the bottom of the van and a few other replacements of engine parts. We’ve had the van serviced every year since we bought it in late 2024, with the latest service being in April this year. There were a few advisories on the last MOT but we were advised by the garage that none needed to be actioned as of now.
