2012, LWB, Citroen Relay Campervan

Up for sale I have a 2012 Citroen Relay Camper van, self build, part by the previous owner and part by myself. Good spec with all the kit you need for long or short trips away.

Van
Converted from a furniture delivery van it does have a few knocks but is very solid and 100% working, mechanically good and we’ve completed a 3000 mile tour round Europe this summer with plenty of other UK weekends and weeks away. The bodywork is solid, there is a touch of surface rust on the inner wheel arches which could do with sorting before it sets in. The top layer of paint was flaking in a few areas when I bought it (common issue with this age of Citroen), it has been resprayed in places but only with a spray can so noticeable close up.

Plenty of paperwork and receipts, 114k on the clock (it is still in use so will go up), it’s had a recent full service, brake pads and general brake overhaul, this did flag up that the exhaust silencer needs replacing, it was an advisory on the last MOT but its not blowing at the moment though. The cab includes a Sony DAB touch screen head-unit with apple-play etc. Also there is a twin view reversing camera which really helps in tight spots. Everything else works as it should, recent new seals and runners on the side door. The van has a tow ball but it’s never been used and rear work light.

Camper
The conversion is a self build and built to have a rustic feel, some bits are a bit more rustic than intended though and there are a few areas that need finishing off, mostly cosmetic with a couple of minor wiring bits to sort. Plenty of scope to modify to suit your taste but very solid and usable as is. The full list of equipment is below, the bed is a standard size double with custom foam/memory foam cushions, the cushions have been sized to suit single bed as well but this would need some changes to the way it opens out. Loads of storage in the high level cupboards, side unit and under the seating. There is also a 2 sets of full height pocket type storage on the rear of the passage seats that proved to be really useful.

– Diesel Space Heater, with remote. (amazing for winter trips!)
– Single gas hob / sink unit
– Gas hot water boiler for shower
– Shower (with removable storage shelf and storage nets to make best use if the space)
– Camping fridge (will run off 12v, gas or mains)
– Fresh Water Tank (I think 60l but can’t confirm)
– Mains Hook-up
– 12v to 240v inverter
– Maxx Air fan (with insulated cover and remote)
– Main lighting split into 3 zones, front, rear and dimmable lighting under the cupboards.
– Twin leisure battery set up, the main battery is a bit old now but the second battery is in very good order.
– 6kg gas bottle (full)

Included in the sale is a whole selection of camper van kit as per the photos, including a mobile waste water tank, levelling ramps, mains cable, polarity inverter for Europe, UK house adapter. Also included is a selection of spare parts from the camper build, catches, hinges, nets, cladding, paint, aluminium edging etc. along with a new TV mount and tow bar wiring kit and a wireless internet dongle.

There will be loads of stuff I’ve forgotten and this is a 12 year old van so I’d recommend coming to see it if you’re interested. It’s registered as a van and not a camper, it should have everything in place to tick all the boxes to register it as a camper if you want to though.

Boring bit…
Cash on collection or balance transfer but funds will obviously have to clear before I’ll let is go. Test drives at my discretion but only with proof of fully comp insurance, happy to take you out for a drive if not. Van is advertised elsewhere so may end early.

I looked for a van that suited us for quite a while and it’s been built to last and keep but unfortunately the need for a bigger house is taking priority, open to offers as we need to sell it as soon as we can! Any questions please get in touch!
